The safety culture at P.Park NJ

We at P.Park NJ are committed to creating a safe environment for all employees, customers, and visitors to our facility. Employees, customers, and visitors to our facilities are provided with and expected to use personal protective equipment such as hard hats, gloves, safety vests, and protective eye wear to help keep them safe throughout their work activities.

Annually, our employees go through a rigorous training focused on the celebration of safety successes and the development of new policies and procedures for any adversities that arise. Training topics include safe operations, equipment safety, personal safety, public safety, and agency compliance, and includes an open forum for employees and management to communicate with each other to collaborate on solutions to any safety issues that present a concern to either party.

Annual training also includes practical “hands-on” sessions entailing thorough site walk throughs with the entire staff at our facility, detailed inspection of all pieces of heavy equipment, running all equipment to ensure maximum efficiency, fall protection training, housekeeping, and standard operation and procedure (S.O.P) generation for each operation.

To add an extra layer of safety to our operations, we also require all of our vendor truckers to go through a “Vendor Trucking Safety Orientation” that details our various safety policies, outlines terms of compliance, and lists consequences that will be enforced for non-compliance.

Training

P.Park NJ puts the highest value on employee safety and strives to have some of the most highly skilled and best trained employees in the industry. To make this a reality, highly qualified in-house trainers offer a tremendous amount of training for a wide variety of topics including OSHA 10 and 30, HAZWOPER 40 and annual 8-hour refreshers, and Competent Person Training in an array of topics. In addition, facility-specific training is performed multiple times a year to brief affected employees on safe equipment operation and proper standard operating procedures.

Facility Safety

P.Park NJ is committed to creating a safe environment for all employees, customers, and visitors to their facility. As such, policies have been implemented mandating the use of personal protective equipment such as safety vests, hard hats, and glasses whenever working on or traversing about the site. PPE is provided for all visitors to maintain our continued safety standard. In addition, P.Park NJ employees participate in monthly Good Catch program that promotes employee awareness to various safety hazards and rewards their prompt correction.

Arrowsight Cameras

P.Park NJ is committed to providing a safe working environment for all employees. We have partnered with Arrowsight, Inc. to implement a hybrid Remote Video Auditing (RVA) and Artificial Intelligence technology and services system that utilizes lightweight portable cameras in order to reduce the risk of injuries on our jobsites.

These videos are subsequently reviewed by front line supervisors who coach and retrain workers.

Cameras have been installed on facility grounds and are used to monitor daily operations. The footage is reviewed with the goal of identifying and correcting unsafe working conditions in order to mitigate risk.

These risks include bodily injury, defects in workmanship. The benefits of this system became apparent immediately. Arrowsights Remote Video Auditing & AI Workplace Safety solutions have helped reduce the highest risk injuries on Construction job sites.

The Arrowsight organization was recognized by BTEA with a Construction Safety Award for being at the forefront of technology in the heavy construction industry.

Environmental Compliance

Maintaining our commitment to public trust and ensuring the protection of our natural environment for future generations are key values at P.Park NJ. We continuously update and maintain our facilities to ensure that they conform to the latest environmental laws, regulations, and industry standards. We strive to set an industry example of cultivating inspection-ready facility at all times. Self-audits are performed at all our facilities on a bi-weekly to monthly basis for environmental compliance criteria. This allows us to identify and resolve site-specific compliance issues and remain accountable to our clients, regulatory agencies, and the public.
